I just ventured out for a drive in the country last week and ended up at the venerable Bruce Beach GC, and noticed the flags were still in and they were open for business, and they got another green fee or two from me as the course was in impeccable shape from the recent green and tee restoration project completed by some ambitious members and homeowners as this shot from behind the second green illustrates:

This is greenskeeping at its best and with fewer inputs than ever imagined, which is what the game is all about really, isn’t?
