Classic XGD Begins the season at Hollywood Golf Club

In Golf Course Capital Improvements, Golf Drainage, Golf Infrastructure Improvements, Greens Drainage, Long Term Effectiveness of Drainage, Soil Gas Exchange, Walter Travis

As I and many of my colleagues are working hard down here at the GIS, I wanted to take the time to let everyone know that Keith Kirsch and crew, have begun on some subsurface internal greens drainage at the Hollywood Golf Club in Deal, NJ. XGD has been contracted to complete the final 11 greens at this terrific Walter Travis layout that opened for golf in 1918. Superintendent Mike Broome saw our work firsthand when we completed several greens at his previous position in eastern PA at Saucon Valley CC, so it was a natural progression to have all greens at Hollywood GC outfitted with the XGD System.

There are a few different forms of the Volcano bunkers at Hollywood and Matt Magarian just sent me this shot of green # 4, with several volcano type bunkers surrounding it, this is why we roll, to get the opportunity to work on courses of all types of architectural variety:

Fairly intimidating?

So come on out to see us this Wednesday and Thursday at GIS13 in booth # 3153, or just drop us a line to see if we might be able to get you some budget numbers on your next capital improvement project.
