Course Improvements at Sylvania CC, OH

In mid May XGD Project Manager David Welsh embarked on a small restoration project at Sylvania CC in Sylvania, OH just north of Toledo. The project was overseen by golf architect Drew Rogers who hails from the local area.

Project scope included works to be completed on and around the first green and consisted of an XGD greens drainage treatment as well as the same treatment to the swale surrounding the green, and a bentgrass conversion to create a collar collection area and a false front addition to the collar protection area illustrated in the picture below.

But the really stunning views of our process at Sylvania are best exhibited in this next shot from behind the green looking back down the golf hole.

Kudos to Drew’s design work and GCS Steve Brown’s grow in expertise and you get a timely project completed on budget and with very little disruption to the members.

Cheers, Poor Old Dirt & Grass Farmer
