Meadowbrook Golf Course Greens Regrassing

Back in late September Jon Kylar and crew arrived to Lubbock, TX to complete a modified XGD restoration of two greens at Meadowbrook Golf Course for Club Manager Mike Painter. XGD has a nice past history with the club and this scope of work included an XGD installation, stripping of existing sod, rototill top 4″, fumigation, prepping and resodding of both greensites to spectacular stands of bentgrass.

The first picture in the slide show shows a green after an XGD install and stripping of existing sod:

Next slide exhibits the smooth, even flow of the tilling operation:

Next the nicely prepped/tilled sodbed:

Followed by the elimination of existing poa/bent/bermuda vegetation:

And finally after we pulled tarps, and resodded to a modern bentgrass variety, a freshly opened new green just a month after these two greens went under the XGD knife. A truly cost effective way to rebuild/regrass any putting surface without the hassles/downtime of a total/expensive/disruptive rebuild:

So, give us a call at XGD, if we might be able to furnish your facility with some budget numbers for your clubs next greens/fairway restoration project.

Cheers for Now, Poor Old Dirt & Grass Farmer
