More Merion GC Internal Greens Drainage

 In Uncategorized

Couldn’t help but include in another post some more Merion GC XGD Systems installation pictures. The greens look great, even in December.

Again, loving the interesting bentgrass color contrasts this time of year. Just heading in to dormancy for most species. A hardening off process for the cold winter ahead, the turfgrass plant is extremely resilient to environmental extremes such as temperature and moisture control issues. These greens at Merion appear ready to be put to bed for good for the winter, and the toughening up of Matt Shaffer’s greens has certainly been achieved nicely.

It is also at this time we have had to shut down our mid-atlantic operations until the early spring as our Maryland projects have all been frozen out for the winter ahead including Matt Magarian’s crew at Baltimore CC and Trent Bartman’s crew at Rocky Point GC. It was a productive fall 2010 XGD installation season , up until about a week ago at least. Mother Nature’s grip has us all in a cold cycle moving forward in to the holiday season and we are happy to have completed as many greens as we did this fall season.

Just wanted to say a special holiday thanks to Mark Rowan,Matt Magarian, and Trent Bartman for sticking it out so late in to the season.
Another shout out to some of our other key contributions as well from Cristobal Gayosso and Agustin Santiago keeping up such an unrivaled and steady pace throughout the long installation season.

Holiday Cheers, Poor Old Dirt & Grass Farmer
