The Game II
Well here we are again about 7 hours away from puck drop and I can’t stop thinking about it. Seldom ,if ever, does a single game outcome mean as much as it does this afternoon. It is more white knuckle sports viewing than most Super Bowls, as the back to back, end to end action is riveting to watch and savour.
It is obviously more than national pride on our part as Canadians, it is our game, no one beats us at our game. Our opponent believes they have a birthright to be great at all sports. Beating Canada would be like another notch on the belt for Americans.
The Game II will set more viewing records in Canada in part to its Sunday afternoon slot as an epic Olympic ending event that has everything on the line. The US waltzed in to these Olympics and stole some of Canada’s glory. Beating the US will give Canada its 14th Gold Medal. That would be a record for any host country at its Olympics. In conclusion I must say that I am looking forward to the Great Canadian Gold Rush this afternoon.
CANADA rocks
Much later, Poor Old Dirt & Grass Farmer
