XGD Fairway Drainage at Black Hall Club, CT

I recently stopped in to check on the performance of one of our fairway drainage installations at the Black Hall Club in Old Lyme, CT off the southern shore of the state. GCS Phil Neaton is thrilled with the effectiveness of our XGD Fairway System, which has allowed them to transform this normally wettest hole at the club, to its driest hole. That is quite a transformation, from “worst to first”, something we hear everyday regarding our greens drainage operation.
The picture below exhibits our finished product late last October:

We left the sand an inch low in the 2″ XGD trenches and after Phil aerified a strip beside each trench, we shoveled in the cores to help sprig the trench back to life. The next picture shows the restored XGD trench performing under the stress of a hot CT summer:

They are barely visible on the 8′ spacing we employed at Black Hall. So, please reach out to Phil Neaton if you would like. He is another, in a lineup of highly satisfied XGD clients.

Cheers, Poor Old Dirt & Grass Farmer
