Eco Blue Systems built this 39-hectare city park on a former landfill site, in collaboration with the city of Kitchener and the Region of Waterloo. The park was developed to support Kitchener’s commitment towards preserving and enhancing the local environment.
McLennan Park currently offers a number of amenities, including:
- Accessible play-structure and splash pad
- Beach volleyball and basketball courts *
- BMX bike park and skatepark
- Leash-free dog park and picnic shelter *
- Pedestrian trails
- Toboggan hill
- Washroom building
