Canoebrook Country Club XGD Greens Drainage
We recently completed the last 3 greens at Canoebrook Country Club in Summit,NJ. Previously in 07 and 08, we had completed our subsurface internal greens drainage into the pushup greens at this 36 hole facility, managed by golf superintendent Jamie Devers.
Borrowed from the Canoebrook CC website, the North Course from 1901 has several restorations attached to its name such as Walter Travis in 1916, but it is a golf treasure. Similarly, the South course built in 1927 by Colt, Alison and MacKenzie still has most of the original greens intact.
Here is a shot of our operation from back in the fall of 07 at Canoebrook, showing some sod watering, and back down the golf hole, and the temporary green for a few days during the installation. This golf hole can be dried out, rolled, mowed, and opened for play in a few short hours. Nice work form our installation professionals.
So give us a shout if we might be able to be used as a weapon in your club’s arsenal to help improve your golf playing surfaces.
Thanks, Poor Old Dirt & Grass Farmer.
