Reasons To Be Thankful At XGD Systems

I was just pondering what we have to be thankful for here at XGD Systems, and two upcoming major golf events have us pretty pumped here at greens drainage headquarters. Never in the past, and probably rarely in the future will this occur but in June, Merion Golf Club will host the US Open, and in August of this summer, Oak Hill Country Club will open its doors for the PGA Championship. These famous major golf venues have two things in common with regard to their respective putting surfaces. Both clubs have the internal greens drainage system installed by XGD professionals.

Those soil greens at Merion and Oak Hill have stood the test of time. Many people have assumed that many top clubs have rebuilt to sand based greens, but I find the opposite to be true. Many of the finest major golf tests in the world have pushup soil greens eg. Oakmont, Aronimink, Chicago GC to name a few. Many of these older clubs have been retro-fitted with the XGD System, and it has proven to be a major, beneficial tool for all of these facilities: That being the ability to move excess soil groundwater through and out of the soil profile is really important to the overall agronomic health of these older greens, in conjunction with being outfitted with an invisible infrastructure improvement such as XGD.

Of course I would be remiss if I didn’t thank all of our clients at XGD Systems. Obviously, without you we do not exist and for that we are thankful for the game of golf in general.

Merry Christmas to all, Poor Old Dirt & Grass Farmer
