Lyman Orchards GC Fairway XGD
While these weather conditions have proven challenging during the install period, the favourable results that all parties were seeking has been achieved: groundwater table control. XGD System’s 35,000 lineal foot installation has transformed the lower, flood prone holes at Lyman in to a challenging ,enjoyable round of golf devoid of ball plugging on the fairways.
Our install has coincided with the bunker renovation under the watchful eye of golf architect Mark Mungeam. http://www.mcgolfdesign.com/ XGD’s parent firm TDIGolf are performing the bunker restorations, while Lyman is managed by Billy Casper Golf http://www.billycaspergolf.com/ , who manage a plethora of clubs nationwide. All that said, during this project a number of groups need to be on board, and well communicated to, in order to pull off a successful, well timed project satisfying all parties involved.
Once we are finished at Lyman, one of the XGD install crews is heading to West Point,NY to begin the final phase of greens at West Point Golf Course in the Hudson Valley. Working at historical institutions such as West Point and other interesting venues from the past are truly a pleasure to visit and view the spectacular scenery that is afforded one. At the same time you need to soak up the history of these venerable old clubs, and its unique surrounding acreage.
