XGD Fairway Drainage at Golf House in Chicagoland

 In Uncategorized

Once again Mother Nature is dealing all those who rely on the outdoors and recreation like ourselves a serious curveball with the cold, wet spring/summer weather so far experienced by most regions across Canada and the U.S.

Along with the green we had completed here at the Home of the Chicago District Golf Association, we also completed some fairway installations due to the impact of the cold and wet conditions that all of us have felt this spring. This picture illustrates a complete perimeter drain around an existing surface inlet to further lower the gravitational groundwater table and create optimum golf conditions for the CDGA events at the Sunshine Course:

These types of installs are not easy to accomplish in the best of weather conditions let alone in the driving rain at the Golf House in Lemont, IL. As you can see the staff is confirming and checking for positive grades of 1% on all of our XGD pipe installations so we can guarantee every client is receiving a long term product for their original capital investment.
Speaking of capital investments, I must share a conversation with an old client of ours from the Park Club, in Williamsville, NY.  Superintendent Scott Dodson exclaimed that the internal subsurface greens drainage we installed their 15 years ago was the greatest capital expense the club has ever made. It was great to hear this to help exhibit the longevity experienced with the installation of our XGD System at your club or facility. Routinely managed, a subsurface drainage system will pay for itself in a few years while providing 20 years or plus of long term benefit.
So reach out to us at here at XGD Systems, we can stop by your facility and review your specific green or fairway restoration needs.
