XGD Spring Progress Update

Well here it is mid March already, and XGD has been hard at it since late February. Our crews recently completed the last eight greens at Turf Valley Resort. http://www.turfvalleyresort.com/golf/index.jsp This was the final phase of the 32 green/approach project we began just before Thanksgiving in 08. I must comment that mother nature has certainly been fairly cooperative so far in the early spring. Even long term forecasts right now indicate unseasonably warm,dry conditions. These types of working conditions have helped us adhere to our tight schedule so far and I will cross my fingers that this will continue moving forward.

Once we finished in southern Maryland we completed a few select greens on eastern Long Island that went off without a hitch. As I write this the crews are heading to Westchester CC in Rye,NY. XGD is completing all 18 greens on the championship West course at this historic old Walter Travis design. We are all excited about this install at this classic old club. While there may be a lot of eyes on us at Westchester, we wouldn’t want it any other way. Once we get underway there, I will provide some pictures of the installation as well.
